“I didn’t want a live, raw organic diet to make us ‘different.’” – Robyn Chandonnet

When Robyn Chandonnet stayed at OHI for three weeks with her husband Jon, she had no idea the experience was about to transform her life.  Jon stayed on as a missionary for an additional three months because the detoxification program was bringing dramatic results in his health opportunity with MS.  He continued to gain energy, strength and control over his muscles as he strictly followed every OHI discipline.

Meanwhile, Robyn, who wanted to support her husband’s adherence to the OHI holistic program, was turning over a new leaf – an organic raw spinach leaf, at that!  Thrilled with the rapid progress Jon was making, Robyn began serious study of live, raw organic vegetarian food preparation, and started creating her own gourmet dishes.  When Jon planned a brief break from his OHI missionary work to join the family at a popular restaurant in Santa Barbara for his father’s birthday, Robyn wanted Jon to be able to stick with the OHI food plan, but still join in the big family celebration.  So, she created an exquisite live raw “cheesecake” for the party.  The restaurant’s owner tasted it, and was so impressed with the scrumptious dessert he asked Robyn if she was a professional chef.

Robyn and Jon have gone on to create a new company, “Nude Foods,” which is supplying live, raw organic vegetarian desserts and granola to health food stores in the Santa Monica region.  They plan to expand their business soon by delivering the healthy treats to people in their region, and compiling a Nude Foods recipe book.  “We’re thrilled to be big-time agents for change in our community,” Robyn said.  “It’s all about sharing information and educating people.  When we show them healthy choices can be fun and delicious, they embrace the positive shift.”  You can contact Robyn and Jon at nudefoods@verizon.net.
